Some of Seihō’s artwork was sold as woodblock prints. Ten prints which depicted flowers and (or) birds are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Picture composition was typically simple – either centrally-placed flowers or a bird (pictures 1-7) or another object plus one or two birds (pictures 8-10). While the color of the flowers and birds was accurate their shapes were often distorted, presumably to suggest activity and help bring them to life. To see more prints by Seihō click here.
